Modern service professionals need to
have up-to-date information on their customers at all times. Not just on
the company network but also when they are on the road. ServiceManager
Mobile offers the service engineer true mobile service management
functionality.

Working offline
ServiceManager Mobile offers
full-blown Service Management functionality off-line on the Pocket PC.
Service people no longer need a connection to their offices to pick up
customer data. All customer service data resides locally on the Pocket
PC database. When a service person has completed a service call, he
simply types in the call report, clicks on Sync and the data is whisked
off to the central CRM database. If they are messages for him , then
they are transmitted from the server to the Pocket PC device.
Functionality
ServiceManager Mobile offers the service professional a broad spectrum
of service management functionality. Standard functionality is:

Mobile customer data with all address and contact person
information. This can be updated and new data added.

Complete customer contact history. All service calls, mailings, in-
and outbound e-mail are available on the Pocket PC.

Agenda. Views of all appointments, per day, week and month. Views of
all your colleagues agenda’s.

Overview of all customer service requests, SLA's, service calls,
their status and your schedule.

All customer order data, installed base down to serial number level.

Product database with all up-to-date price and stock information.

Document database including drawings and configuration info.

Synchronization over GPRS, GSM or any TCP/IP connection with the
central database.
Flexibility
and customization
ServiceManager Mobile is built using the SMS Mobile RAD FrameWork , our
development engine for the Microsoft Windows Mobile platform. The data
model, the screens and the underlying business logic can be customized
using the FrameWork. The data each mobile worker receives on his or her
Pocket PC can also be determined by the application manager. A service
engineer may only need to see his scheduled calls, but the regional
manager wants the complete picture, including billing, turnaround times
and debtor details.
Interfacing
ServiceManager Mobile offers standard
integration with the ServiceManager host. Through the open architecture
of ServiceManager Mobile Solutions, service information can easily be
interfaced, bi-directionally, with various back-office systems. Standard
interfaces are available for Exact, Baan, Movex, SAP, GEAC and Navision.
Technical Specifications
ServiceManager Mobile is available for
the Pocket PC. ServiceManager Mobile Solutions run only on Pocket PC
devices running the Windows Mobile operating system. We use Sybase
iAnywhere as the local database. We offer standard interfacing with
ServiceManager host databases running either Microsoft SQL 2000 or
Oracle 9i.
